Do encontro despretensioso entre dois trouxas – a mexicana Isabelle Vasquez e do austríaco Klaus Burke – veio Emerie. Nascida em Viena, a menina cresceu entre a capital britânica (Londres) e a austríaca, onde morou por cerca de 4 anos durante sua primeira infância. Para ela e seus pais, o mundo mágico que a menina viria a descobrir aos onze não passava de uma bela representação do imaginário infantil em histórias. Até não ser mais.A magia para Emerie se manifestou de forma surpreendente e amedrontadora. Ela era definitivamente muito nova para entender, e seu primeiro contato com a mesma pareceu se mesclar com algo tão forte e traumático que até os dias de hoje (sete anos, cinco em Hogwarts, milhares de aulas e trezentos feitiços depois), a unigênita dos Burke não se recorda.Tudo o que a garota de olhos escuros como a noite consegue dizer quando questionada é sobre a floresta nos fundos de sua casa e como aquilo a mudou completamente. Anos depois, estes que foram atravessados por uma mudança desesperada de Viena para Londres na esperança de que Emme abandonasse seu comportamento tortuoso e voltasse a ser doce e afável e esquecesse os pesadelos com olhos vermelhos em uma escuridão, funcionários de Hogwarts bateram em sua porta, apresentando a ela o Mundo Mágico. Mesmo longe de casa, Burke aprenderia a se controlar e manter suas palavras aos seus pais, mesmo sem se recordar o motivo de as ter prometido.
Tendo de superar o pavor de uma vida nova onde a magia se tornaria algo real, a menina foi colocada na casa Sonserina pelo Chapéu Seletor, onde os conflitos por seu “sangue ruim” se tornaram grande parte do seu primeiro ano na escola. Emerie, entretanto, nunca foi capaz de escutar as coisas calada, ainda assim centrada em seu próprio desejo de ser melhor.Mesmo sem conhecimento de seu antepassado mágico que possa ter lhe conferido as habilidades mágicas, veio a descobrir na Escola de Magia e Bruxaria uma correspondência com o sobrenome herdado de Klaus. Emerie chegou a estudar sobre os Burkes depois que entrou em Hogwarts, mas até hoje não descobriu nenhum potencial antepassado entre os famosos da linhagem que possa ter sido culpado por ser ela a única da família de seu pai em 300 anos a manifestar magia entre um mar de trouxas com um sobrenome mágico. Ela é, impreterivelmente, a ultima Burke com sangue magico a sobreviver às guerras e descasos do tempo.─── ⋆ ✰ ⋆ ───From the unpretentious encounter between two muggles – the Mexican Isabelle Vasquez and the Austrian Klaus Burke – came Emerie. Born in Vienna, the girl grew up between the British capital (London) and the Austrian capital, where she lived for about 4 years during her early childhood. For her and her parents, the magical world that the girl would discover at eleven was nothing more than a beautiful representation of children's imagination in stories. Even away from home, Burke would learn to control herself and keep her words to hier parents, even without remembering why she had promised them.
Having to overcome the fear of a new life where magic would become something real, the girl was placed in Slytherin house by the Sorting Hat, where conflicts over her “mud blood” became a big part of her first year at the school. Emerie, however, has never been able to listen quietly, still centered on her own desire to be better.Even without knowledge of the magical ancestor that may have given her her magical abilities, she came to discover at the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry a correspondence with the surname inherited from Klaus. Being possibly a distant descendant of Caractacus Burke, one of the founders of Borgin & Burke's, the girl's research led her to trace a history of the Burke family where, even being part of the Sacred 28, she identified the lineage that gave rise to her magical abillities as having been the result of an extramarital relationship with Muggles, in which her family members – until her – carried only the surname. Emerie have studied about the Burkes, but up to date she has not yet discovered any potential ancestors among the famous lineage that could have been blamed for her being the only one of her father's family in 300 years to manifest magic among a sea Muggles with a magical surname. She is, without fail, the last Burke with magical blood to survive the wars and neglects of time.
